At Crawford Educational Complex we are working toward more sustainable communities on and off campus. By inspiring and equipping youth to be skillful gardeners, responsible workers, and aware of food justice issues, we are helping make City Heights a more sustainable and food secure community.
Urban Agriculture is a combination of projects that involve students in project-based learning, taking what they are learning in class to practical application in the garden. Math classes plot out plating, spacing and garden bed dimensions, engineer classes design garden landscapers, web design and graphic design classes create marketing and media to promote the garden on campus and in the community.
